Man, I'v really done eff all today (Except paint the plexiglass on my PC. That took all of half an hour :/) except watch movies and browse the web, where I saw one of the must fun looking OS addons I've ever seen.
Some of you may know it - It's called Beryl and it's a.. I hate to say skin, more, complete modification. It looks fan-fucking-tastic. Here, though. See for yourself. I enjoyed the video for two reasons, one, it's a sweet looking OS interface. Two, it has Metal Gear Solid 2 music :B
It's available on a few of the distros that're any good (Knoppix, Open Suse, Ubuntu) and installed as default interface on Sabayon (Which is annoyingly a buy-it thing, although, only seven euros).
Yeah, that was all I had to say >.>
Oh, and, since some of you are not linux geeks, you should try Project Looking glass :B It's a Sun Microsystems project that's been going for a few years. I've not used it for at least a year and a half, though, due to a number of OS changes >.>
It's pretty, and kinda fun too. Can be a pain in the ass to get working, but hey. It's fun when you get it there :B

I have manually patched the uxtheme.dll before, but it's a pain, and thus, I suggest using UXTheme Multi-Patcher (Neowin Edition) 4.0 instead, it does it all for you, rather than having you go sifting through several versions of uxtheme.dll

Using Luna Royale as an example, you should have
C:\Windows\Resources\Luna Royale\Luna Royale.mss
then you should be able to do right click>properties>display settings(?) on the desktop and select the Luna Royale skin like you would the blue/silver/olive standard skins
