Halo: Reach - It could use Natal
Category: Specific Game - Post Date: Jul 1, 2009
Harold Ryan has said to the Seattle Times that not only is he impressed with the technology, but that be believes Halo: Reach could be made to support it."I absolutely think Reach could be enabled with it,"
Of course, this is by no means saying that it will be, just that it could be. Quite how, Bungie only knows.
The game is due for a release on September 22nd, making it too early to release with support for Natal, but hey. In the age of Digital Distribution, who knows what a patch could hold.

Alright then
I'll take your word for it - I don't follow Halo games as well as some of us :B

Well, you're still right about the fact that it will release before natal.

Only because Natal will, hopefully, see horrible delays >.>

No, Natal is dated for next novemberish and Reach is set for august. Any delays tha natal experiences will affect other games.

I don't mind it launching - I just want it to fail horribly. So I can continue sitting around doing nothing to play the games that I want, the way I want, rather than being forced into some undignified arm waving..

Well, I don't necessarily think you'll have to worry about too much arm waving. Most hardcore developers that talk about incorporating it mainly say it would be an addendum. Specifically, something like in military games giving your team voice and visual commands (like hold fist up to stop, twirl finger to regroup) instead of having those commands be hosted on a d-pad or something similar to that. But either way, none of them talk about requiring natal or natal only, but rather having a core controller system with extra natal features. (Then of course, there is Molyneux, and who knows what he is going to do).
